My last pregnancy blog!

I had a doctor's appointment yesterday, and I found out that it would be my last -- she is inducing labor on Friday!! Although we are not excited about getting to the hospital at 5am, we cannot wait to meet our new baby and are so excited to not have to wait until the due date! This is my LAST pregnancy photo -- thank goodness!

Clint decided that Ruthie needed to try out the bouncy seat before Mimi arrives . . .

Hurry up, already!

I went to the doctor yesterday, and she let me know that I am dialated 1 centimeter. At least something is happening, but I know I could be dialated a centimeter for a while! I made her promise me to induce labor on my due date if I haven't had her by then -- so at least I know two more weeks is my limit!! Today I actually called on Mimi's pediatric office, and I told her future pediatrician that I'm ready to meet her, and I plan on having her tonight . . . for some reason, he laughed at me . . .

Mimi's Room

I obviously don't know how to arrange photos on this yet -- just bear with my blogging ignorance. Anyway, these are photos from the baby room -- Mimi's crib, her small armoire (that Clint's sweet mother made for us), and two goofy little pictures I painted for her wall.

Emilia Claire Darby

Clint and I are expecting Emilia Claire or "Mimi" on August 8, and we couldn't be happier!! The room is finally complete, the bags are packed, and the Diaper Genie is ready to be put to good use -- so now we are just waiting. I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow, and I am hoping for news of an early arrival . . . but I doubt that will be the case.

We've joined the world of blogging!!

I've finally done something I said I would never do -- I am a blogger! BUT I think I have the perfect excuse now that Clint and I are expecting a little Mini Me in a few weeks. Since she will be the most beautiful and smartest child in the world, we know everyone will want updates and photos. This page seems like the easiest way to keep in touch with everyone and not send out a mass e-mail every time she opens her eyes, or burps, or even moves -- which I know will be worthy of writing about!! So this is where I will begin recording all of the inevitable changes in our lives . . . the baby, then the mini van, then the matching Lily Pulitzer outfits, then the crazed stage parents we will become . . . there's just too much in our future!
